Essential BD Duties & Responsibilities:
Promoting the company and offering contract manufacturing services & products to target clients in the assigned territory and managing the process from the customers’ interest point until licensing/manufacturing and supply agreements are signed
Identify potential partners in the assigned territory and establish contacts & build relations with key decision makers
Work closely with the technical & costing team for the new project technical feasibility checks, costing & business case analysis for preparing commercial offers
Negotiation of commercials for new & commercialized products with existing & potential partners
Execution of Confidentiality Agreements with potential partners and contracts & amendments review, drafting & negotiations for new deals in the assigned territory
Ensuring project billing activities are timely completed for the assigned partners
Responsible for contributing & implementing the partner business strategies in the respective markets/territory
Work closely with the cross functional teams to finalise the Projects protocols, activities, costs and milestone payments and monitor the project activities and facilitate roadblocks
Manage customer relationship and build/maintain strong internal and external network and support internal functions
Prepare & maintain various databases for business needs, business case analysis, competitive intelligence that are critical for decision making
Manage the participation & representation of company in select international conferences such as CPhI, DCAT etc.
Take responsibility for any adhoc duties/ activities as requested by business from time to time
Launch Management Responsibilities:
Managing the launches (ensuring the timely completion of each relevant task/activity) of each SKU for the assigned partners/markets
Preparation for regular meetings/TCs & ensuring all relevant stakeholders are attending the calls, agreed actions are documented & timely executed
Prepare & update the Launch Tracker for review and undertake the back working from the target launch dates the timelines for each relevant task/activities and share the full launch plan within the company by involving relevant internal & external teams
Bring to the notice of the senior management in advance of any road blocks in launches for finding solutions without delays in launch timelines
Coordinate with cross functional teams both internally (Artwork, QC, QA, Manufacturing, Technical, Planning, Logistics etc.) and externally to ensure launch timelines and objectives are successfully achieved
Ensure the stock of validation batches manufactured are monetized by using them for new launches or invoice for destruction
Direct/Support the planning team on RM/PM allocation based on the launch markets/volumes
Coordinate with the plant team on dispatches of samples, standards, documents etc. for regulatory submissions in various new launch markets
Qualifications & Experience: >8 years’ experience in Pharma – Business Development, Portfolio, Launch & Alliance Management Degree/Masters in Life Science with MBA Strong planning, organization, prioritization, analytical & negotiation skills and understanding of Pharmaceutical licensing landscape in Emerging Markets A strong team player with ability to execute deals & manage partners independently Excellent communication, presentation skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders Passion and desire to achieve challenging targets Open-minded, creative, self-motivated and willing to learn & travel Very good English; additional languages an advantage
